This brief collection of songs was written on my porch and in my backyard in July and August of 2020. They were recorded along with a few other pieces over the span of about 24 hours in a cabin in the woods west of Kalamazoo. Each acoustic guitar was doubled, one improvised solo was overdubbed on the song “June” and the guitar is occasionally supplemented by an analog synthesizer. It’s rough and imperfect, but I felt it would be more authentic to limit myself to the recordings that I completed during the day at the cabin than to re-record at home. This collection of songs is best enjoyed outdoors through quality speakers or headphones.
